Welcome to Release Therapy.
I have been practicing in the field of complementary therapy for more than 10 years. I completed a 3 year diploma in shiatsu in 1996 and I have been a registered practitioner with the British Shiatsu Society since 1998.
Shiatsu is a Japanese therapy similar to acupuncture, with a focus on using hands instead of needles to stimulate points and channels around the body. This releases physical and emotional tensions, alleviates many conditions and leaves the recipient with a feeling of deep relaxation, inner stability and wellbeing.
During recent years I have focused on developing my skills to improve the quality of treatments. Specifically, I have studied Emotional Release Therapy and Emotional Freedom Techniques which I blend with Shiatsu for a deeper therapeutic effect.
Emotional Release Therapy offers subtle methods for releasing blocked emotions and often provides dramatic changes in the physical and emotional wellbeing of my clients.
Emotional Freedom Techniques provide a natural link between Shiatsu and Emotional Release Therapy . It is a remarkable technique for clearing the ‘emotional charge’ attached to negative experiences and it can bring rapid changes.
Release Therapy is a combination of these therapies. It literally releases blocked energy ‘from within’ to dissolve away layers of ‘un-ease’ in the body. This can be physical, emotional or even mental un-ease.
